Founded

The Vintage Galore Collective was founded by Ditte in 2017 and it is meant to inspire others to consciously choose pre-loved and vintage over new and over fast fashion in particular.

The goal is to make other people see the potential and uniqueness of pre-loved and vintage clothing and home goods. The business is slowly and organically growing. 

The Vintage Galore collective is rooted in a love for  natural materials and quality items, a passion for fashion and interiors and the belief that ‘they’ did it better back in the day.

The 'collective' part of name originates from always having her two small sons in tow.

 

Aesthetics

Ditte is part Danish part Swedish and her Scandinavian heritage is a major influence in her aesthetics. Wool, leather, silks, linen and cotton combined in a classic way with a hint of Scandinavian interior and hygge. The common denominators are good quality and unique.

We feature clothes from 1920s-1990s with the majority of the pieces being vintage from the 1970s -1980s and pre-loved premium brands. 

All believe that all the items we choose are timeless and have a place in a contemporary and modern wardrobe - making the vintage pieces more desirable than new.

 

Quality

We believe that they did it better back in the day and the materials used in vintage garments greatly surpass those used and produced today for a number of reasons, the main ones being profit and sustainability. We also believe in longevity and resell value so we try have both pre-loved premium brands and good quality vintage items.
